Samantha is a Los Angeles native, originally from the San Fernando Valley. At five years old, she was cast as Mary Poppin's umbrella in the musical Mary Poppins, and hasn't stopped Singin' In The Rain since. She is a trained actor, singer, improviser, and percussionist.
Last year, Samantha placed as a Top 5 Finalist (with the second highest overall score) in LA's Next Great Stage Star 2017 competition presented by Princess Cruises. This year, she has been nominated by BroadwayWorld.com for Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Local) for her portrayal of Bridget Sullivan in "LIZZIE: The Musical." She has also been awarded for her Luisa in The Fantasticks (Ellen Albertini Dow Award for Outstanding Performance), and nominated for her role in the thriller short film Here Be Monsters (Best Supporting Actress). She was honored to receive a full scholarship for the musical theatre intensive with the Broadway Dreams Foundation, working with countless working Broadway performers, directors, and choreographers, and continues to intern with the NY-based company.
Samantha has performed in numerous regional theatre productions, short and feature films, concerts, and commercials. When she has a day off, she can be found hosting the Drunk History inspiredYouTube series "Boozey Broadway," as well as on iTunes as host of the TV/Film review and comedy podcast "Latest & Greatest with Sam Labrecque."
